When the bees get after Mowgli while he tries to get some honey very recklessly, Baloo helps Mowgli get rid of the bees. But now, Baloo questions Mowgli as to how jungle wise is he? Baloo throws a few challenges at Mowgli and meanwhile Tabaqui is watching all this and runs away to inform Shere Kahn. Baloo’s challenge leads Mowgli from one part of the jungle to the next and even as Baloo says he will not interfere, he trudges along, hiding in the bushes, following Mowgli. Shere Kahn can’t have his chance at Mowgli because of the bear and Tabaqui promises to get rid of the bear as soon as he can. Mowgli, along with Darzee, succeeds in completing the challenge. Baloo meanwhile has been tricked and trapped by Tabaqui. When Mowgli and Darzee return, they don’t find Baloo and instead meet up with Shere Kahn. Mowgli runs in the area of toadstools which are really itchy as just as Shere Kahn is about to pounce on him, he gives way and the tiger lands into the itchy toadstools and scratches himself uncontrollably. As Baloo reached Darzee and Mowgli, he finds the tiger running away and declares that Mowgli is jungle wise after all.
